Admission to a Degree Program at the University of Pittsburgh

Admission to the English Language Institute does not include admission to a degree program at the University of Pittsburgh.

The ELI program was designed for international students who want to improve their English for academic, professional, or personal reasons. Located on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh, the ELI provides students with an opportunity to experience life on an American university campus and interact with American students. The ELI offers:

Full-time and part-time study
Dedicated, professional faculty
Field trips and social activities
A variety of housing options
Assistance with college and university applications
Certificate of attendance to students who complete the term
Assistance with visa procedures
Orientation to Pitt's campus
Use of the Robert Henderson Language Media Center
